Intermediate ESL Math for Adults Kate Mueller & Nikki Carson-Padilla created a website with links to ESL-friendly math sites, interactive video clips, and local photo prompts to accompany word problems for Intermediate level ELLs.  The site includes original handouts, worksheets, mini-video clips, and suggested activities that align with CASAS competencies targeting the B level tests, both reading and math.
1-Language This site is for learning English and for teachers.  There are audio English courses, games, grammar quizzes, and more for students.  There are also printable handwriting sheets, story starters for writing, food flashcards, etc.  
100 Civics Questions and Answers with MP3 Audio The Official Website of the Department of Homeland Security. The 100 civics (history and government) questions and answers for the naturalization test are listed accompanied with audio files. The civics test is an oral test and the USCIS Officer will ask the applicant up to 10 of the 100 civics questions.
5 Minute English This site has short easy explanations and exercises on grammar, reading, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation, writing, and more for intermediate to advanced students.  Some lessons are just explanations, while others have exercises.  There are also book recommendations.  The listening section has dialogs and pronunciation lessons has audio to listen to and repeat. 
6th grade-SAT Vocabulary Vocabulary tests for 6th grade-SAT levels.  Can make your own quiz, test common prefixes and suffixes, and take SAT practice tests.  Test options include learning definitions, reverse definitions, synonym practice, and reverse synonyms.  There are 15 units available per level.
AAA Math This site offers a wide range of interactive math lessons (K-8).
ABCya! This site was designed for children but has lots of great activities, especially at the Kindergarten level for beginning ESL.  Topics include: math, alphabet, and more.

Aesop's Fables This site has dozens of Aesop's fables told concisely.  You can browse by title and by moral as well as get the daily fable or a random fable.  They are short but some challenging vocab.
Algebra Homework Help Includes step-by-step written instructions, videos, quizzes, sample solutions and more for Pre-Algebra (fractions, decimals, percents, signs, equations), Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry.  Some activities are done online and other are worksheets to print and check, with step-by-step online solutions.
America's Career Infonet This site has a number of resources for students, jobseekers, and employers.  There is industry specific information and learners can build a profile with wages, skills, etc. for their state.  Videos about careers, industries, and more are available in Windows Media and Real Player formats.  There is also state labor market, high pay and fast growth information.  Significant level of literacy required.
American Presidents This site contains a video archive and key facts for all American presidents.  There is a drop down menu of presidents on the top.
Aplus Math This site has flashcards, games and worksheets for arithmetic, decimals, fractions, and algebra. 
Apple.com If you are looking for info on how to use an Apple computer this is a great place to start. The website contains links to YoutTube support videos for all Apple products including iPhones.

Basic Computer Skills Curriculum On this site you will find lesson modules covering basic computer skills developed by computer teachers from Adult Basic Education programs in the St. Paul Community Literacy Consortium. You will find Lessons (handouts), Teacher Guides, Vocabulary Lists and Activities.  Some computer skills may have several lessons associated with them and some lessons may cover several computer skills. The lessons are grouped by computer task and skill.  Rather than rigidly defining a day-by-day curriculum, teachers can pick and choose lessons and activities that suit their classroom needs and student’s pace. Ben's Guide to U.S. Government for Kids Official site of US Government Printing Office designed for K-12.  Texts of historical documents, branches of government, how laws are made, national vs state government, election process, and citizenship.  One section of games includes ''Place the State'' on the map.
Best of History Web Sites Best of History Web Sites is a portal that contains annotated links to over 1000 history web sites as well as links to hundreds of  K-12 history lesson plans, history teacher guides, history activities, history games, history quizzes, and more.  Categories are: prehistory, ancient/biblical, medieval, American, early modern Europe, WWII, history today, art history, oral history, and maps.  In each category, sites are rated (5 stars) and described. 
Better English Lessons Although this site as many general English exercises, their specialty is Business English.  There are many exercises and one can leave an e-mail address to receive new lessons in that manner.
Biography - Celebrate Black History This award winning site feature a large number of famous people but has an emphasis on black history. It is highly interactive featuring, quizzes, icons, videos, and an interactive timeline.
