Tutoring Basics is a one-time, two-and-a-half-hour workshop that is designed for staff or volunteers working with youth in grades K-12. Come learn important strategies that all tutors must know to successfully build academic skills. The training provides a variety of core tutoring strategies through a framework of positive youth development and research-based practices shown to improve academic achievement. Tutors will learn how to effectively structure a tutoring session to be intentional and skill-based. Tutoring Basics is designed for staff or volunteers working in any program setting.
